Chan Brun, founder of röyksopp gakkai, was graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specializing Knitwear design with Technology. As she believes fashion is just one of the medias to present art and idea, she is interested in using various ways to express her attitude towards aesthetics. Thus, not only focusing on fashion design, she also work as stylist, art director and set designer. In 2021, she was awarded with Young Design Talent Special Mention Award of DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award. She had worked with fujifilm, Shu Uemura, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Adidas, Nike, Chik Chak 903 and different parties. She also styled for ep covers and music videos, and work as art director for artists including Eason Chan, Panther Chan, Lokman from Mirror, Korean band Balming Tiger, Japanese singer Nishina, MC Cheung and Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.

röyksopp gakkai 蘑菇學會 was established in 2022. “röyksopp” stands for a kind of mushroom in Norsk, while “gakkai” means school club in Japanese. We believe fashion is just one of the medium to express aesthetics. Our brand design concept is to tell story through our designs rather than just selling garments. röyksopp gakkai is good at creating a poetic and romantic atmosphere through different collections. Based on European kids wear from 18th-19th century, with a soft touch of Minimalism and Weird-Cuteness, these show the stage of a teenage girl transforming into an adult.
