Yeung Chin was awarded scholarship by The University of Westminster London to study MA in Fashion Design in 2008 and graduated with a scholar of distinction in 2009. He has worked as a Sr fashion designer for Li Ning and Chief fashion designer for G2000. After founding the brand in 2013, he held his personal exhibitions at Asia Society Gallery and Hong Kong Heritage Museum in 2013 and National Design Centre (Singapore) in 2015. YC joined New York Fashion Week in 2015, Hong Kong Fashion Week and Shanghai Ontime Show in 2016 as well as Paris Fashion Week in 2017.
YC also received Top Creative Award in the Hong Kong Young Designers' Contest held by HKTDC in 2003, and YDC Special Mention Award by Hong Kong Design Centre in 2009.
Mistakes are made in our daily lives. Rather than taking it as a failure, we should enjoy the process by treasuring it as a source of creativity. This belief of Yeung Chin made him to establish the brand YC in 2013. Yeung Chin is a brand that observes the real world, defines mistakes and executes them through the collections. By making mistakes and errors in art experiments - painting, photo and sculpture, YC creates specific theme concept made in between, avant-garde to women's ready-to-wear. It shows boyish silhouette, bold, asymmetric and layering style in the collection.
